This is a note made on a re-visit to the site in order to paste-in the url's
of some of the sites I am involved with (in some capacity or other) which might lead me to invite members of those activities to be looking at this profile at social tools.
(newest association effective from January 2005, but I have worked with them increasingly since 2002 are the following)
http://www.octobergallery.co.uk
which is a project by the Institute of Ecotechnics whose site is visible at:
http://www.ecotechnics.edu/go.html
and whose Bisophere 2 project is archived at:
http://www.biospherefoundation.org/
The activity amongst many which they organise which will hopefully expand into an online conference facility of some kind in due course, is their annual conference, usually held in France in September about which there are considerable descriptive information archives visible at:
http://www.ecotechnics.edu/conf.html
Another activity with an online presence is their Theatre of All Possibilities:
http://www.allpossibilities.org/
... and though last by no means least, the adventures of the good ship Heraclitus within the activities of the Planetary Coral Reef Foundation:
http://www.pcrf.org/
(association from January 2004)
http://www.monde-diplo-friends.org.uk/
(now closed > The Global Cafe which had operated in downtown London's Golden Square for 1996 - 2002 ... but viewable on the webarchives)
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://gold.globalcafe.co.uk
Other sites I would say I have a tenuous association with which I would like to see develop further are:
http://quantum-voice.blogspot.com/
which is the latest online persona for my friend Sabine a compulsive and tireless networker (who introduced me to the web-world, as well as to the Global Cafe) and founder of the Forum for Stable Currencies and it's associated meetings, now being continued of course by
Peter Challen of the Forum for Stable Currencies
http://www.ccmj.org/fsc/meetings.htm
and though I don't know the people involved, I do like what they are doing ... the activities of the:
http://www.xat.org.uk
with its online system for LETS and Barter
Friends of old which I do always like to mention, from the ol' Rainbow Centre in Kentish Town, currently reincarnated following the ESF activities at another location in Tufnell Park
http://rainbowcentre.cjb.net/
I was honoured to have worked on a video-conversation between Duversity founder Anthony Blake
(
http://www.duversity.org/library.htm ) and October Gallery founder John Allen (aka Johnny Dolphin), in December 2004, at the end of the October Gallery's 25th year Anniversary
... and their event "Intelligence Now!"
http://www.octobergallery.co.uk/exhibitions/2004now/index.shtml
and am pleased to report that the incidence of video-taping events including art exhibitions, book launches, theatrical and dance performances held within their recent festival was very prevalent, so recordings will increasingly become available in "Real" format over facilities yet to be devised.
