Disk partitions
You can partition your drives
during the Debian installation.
Create partitions of exactly the same sizes on both drives. On each disk, make one small 'primary' partition (about 16-24 MB), and another 'primary' partition containing the remaining space. Make the small partition bootable (set the boot flag).
If the BIOS on your computer was made before 1998, it is likely that it will not support booting from partitions which lie
after 1024th cylinder, which is around 8Mb. In that case, make your first partition 7-10Mb.
